ILA 2006: Liebherr receives award as supplier for the Barracuda-Programme
On occasion of the Berlin Air Show ILA 2006 Liebherr-Aerospace has received the distinguished supplier award of the EADS Barracuda-Programme, an unmanned aerial vehicle. This decision has been announced today during an official event at the Barracuda-display at the ILA in Berlin-Schönefeld.
EADS Military Air Systems Business Unit emphasized that during the whole programme development phase Liebherr-Aerospace has proven its outstanding capabilities and partner skills.
Liebherr supplies the actuation control system consisting of a primary flight control system based on fly-by-wire technology and the secondary flight control system for the Barracuda. This provides the all-electric-aircraft capability for the Barracuda in flight.
