Liebherr constructs production site in Nizhny Novgorod
The Liebherr group recently began the construction of a production site in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The new plant is located in the town of Dzerzhinsk on premises covering roughly 120 hectares.
Liebherr-Nizhny Novgorod OOO will be producing and assembling construction machines such as earth-moving machines or tower cranes. In addition, the company will also be manufacturing hydraulic components, transmissions and steel components. The same premises will also be used by Liebherr-Aerospace Nizhny Novgorod OOO to manufacture and maintain aviation components.
The planned investment volume for the whole project will total around 200 million euros (approx. 7.3 billion roubles). Liebherr intends this investment to create more than 600 permanent jobs in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The construction of the production site once more proves Liebherr's long-term commitment in Russia and the Nizhny Novgorod region.
