Liebherr-Aerospace opens office in Everett
In April 2007, Liebherr-Aerospace SAS has opened a new office in Everett, WA, U.S.A., close to the Boeing 747, 767, 777 and 787 manufacturing site. The branch office will function as an interface between Boeing and Liebherr-Aerospace manufacturing sites in Europe, thus ensuring a high proximity between both companies during on-going as well as future aircraft programs.

Liebherr-Aerospace last year had been selected to supply the integrated Digital Air Supply Control System (ASCS) and Cabin Air Conditioning & Temperature Control System (CACTCS) for the 747-8 airplane. The system will bleed air from the General Electric GEnx engines to supply the cabin and will condition the air making it comfortable for passengers and the crew.

The conception and manufacture of this air management system is carried out by France based Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS in cooperation with Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH and Liebherr-Elektronik GmbH (both Germany).

The new branch office in Everett will enable Liebherr-Aerospace to provide Boeing with a level of support and reactivity more compatible with requirements of the 747-8 program. Support for other activities like the 737RS program will also be made easier.
