Bauma 2007: The new flagship Liebherr wheel loader
As a world first for international industry specialists, Liebherr is presenting the L 586 2plus2 wheel loader at Bauma 2007. This new flagship among Liebherr wheel loaders is an extension to the top end of the existing range.
The L 586 2plus2 offers a tipping load of 20,430 kg, has an engine output of 250 kW / 340 hp and, with an operating weight of 31 tonnes, is fitted with a standard 5.5-m3 bucket. With this performance data and these dimensions, the new L 586 2plus2 is the largest hydrostatically powered wheel loader in the world.
In terms of design and technological conception, the new L 586 2plus2 conforms to the current 6th generation Liebherr wheel loaders. The Liebherr diesel engine, the electronics and the cooling system all meet the Stage IIIa / Tier 3 guidelines for noise and exhaust emissions. The heart of the 6th series has also been retained: the Liebherr drive with its innovative 2plus2 techno¬logy. This drive has proved itself as an economical and environmentally friendly wheel-loader concept through years of application.
