The new construction project at the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town for the 2010 Football World Cup at present has a total of 19 Liebherr top-slewing cranes in operation.
On the opening day of the Smopyc 2008 exhibition, Dr. h.c. Dipl.-Ing. (ETH) Willi Liebherr welcomed the heir to the Spanish throne Prince Felipe, and his wife Doña Letizia, to the Liebherr stand.
