The new LCS series offers a machine system for finishing of hardened gears which stands out for its special performance and versatility. The LCS "Combi" can be used for a variety of processes on one machine: Generating and profile grinding with dressable or electron plated CBN tools.

Tooth grinding with dressable worms or discs is a successful and long-approved technique, achieving a remarkable productivity with the utilisation of state-of-the-art alumina tools. The CBN procedure however, distinguishes itself via its high constancy of production results throughout the entire tool life. This is extremely advantageous for mass production with operating ranges of up to 200 production hours. Both techniques are covered by the LCS range without limitation, and as a result the user finds completely new possibilities open to him.

The CBN profile grinding is available for internal gears. Depending on the technology being used, very small grinding discs are used for this procedure. Nevertheless, optimum tool life is achieved due to the CBN plating. Three different variants of internal grinding heads are available with different cross-sections of grinding arm. The design featuring the disc axis in the centre of rotation allows the grinding of helical gears.
