Crawler crane
LR 1400/2-W

400-tonne "narrow-track" crawler crane for wind-power farms.

For crawler crane applications in which travel with attachments in position is particularly important, Liebherr is exhibiting the LR 1400/2-W at this year's 'Bauma'. It has a 4.8 m wide crawler chassis and 11.5 m wide star-pattern supports.

This narrow-track ver-sion complies with the need for efficient lifting devices to construct wind-driven turbines at wind-power farms. Two slewing connec-tions allow the chassis, the intermediate section with the supports and the crane superstructure to be repositioned in relation to one other as required, so that the crawler crane can also negotiate very tight corners.
